DakotaPURE™ is a highly pure muscovite mica which possesses an outstanding combination of mechanical, physical, chemical, electrical and thermal properties which are rarely found in other products. DakotaPURE™ is a translucent mica which is gray/silver in color and is free of asbestos and non-asbestos fibrous materials.

DakotaPURE™ can be used in a variety of polymer applications to improve stiffness, increase tensile and flexural properties and improve heat distortion temperature. It is also used extensively for sound dampening applications. In the coatings and construction products industry, DakotaPURE™ enhances weatherability, provides barrier protection and increases chemical resistance. DakotaPURE’s™ unique combination of electrical properties make it a super insulator.
